Dog Bite

Every dog owner has a duty to keep their dog under control.  Dog-involved cases take many forms.  The most obvious form is an actual bite.  However, we have had cases where the client was injured while running away from an errant and attacking dog. We also have cases where the dog will jump and knock to the ground a person causing injuries.  Unfortunately, many dog bite cases involve injuries around the neck and face.  The dog will attack a human the same way it attacks another animal.  It will bite around the throat while its paws rake the sides of the face.

The wrongdoer will generally have coverage available through its homeowner’s policy to afford compensation to the injured party.

If you are involved in a dog-related incident get as much information as is available at the scene, take yourself to a hospital and call me.
